Injectables
There are a number of injectable agents available for the treatment of skin wrinkles, blemishes, scars, depressions and volume or contour deformities. The most popular agents include Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, and fat grafts.
Botox Cosmetic
Botox Cosmetic is used to decrease wrinkles in the upper face that are caused by frequent contraction of an associated muscle. It is FDA approved to treat the vertical lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). Its use is frequently expanded to cover the transverse lines of the forehead, and the lines radiating from the outer eyes (crow's feet). Botox usually provides benefits for 3-4 months depending on the elasticity of the skin and the strength of the muscle treated. It is the most frequently used injectable for cosmetic purposes. Dr. Flory personally administers all Botox injections. In order to keep the cost of Botox injections to a minimum, procedures are scheduled on specific "Botox Days" which occur every 3-4 weeks. Schedule available. A free initial consultation is offered to anyone who thinks they may wish to use Botox. During that consultation Dr. Flory will discuss the benefits and risks and whether you may be a good candidate for the procedure. There is no obligation to proceed with the injections after the consultation. The 2010 price for Botox Injections is $ 260 per area. We do run special pricing from time to time. If you would like to be notified when specials are posted, please send us your email address. Please call for more information.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Hyaluronic acid fillers are a group of injectable gels that are placed within the skin to smooth out facial wrinkles and folds. Their volumizing effects can be used to enhance lips and fill in scar depressions. Hyaluronic acid is a natural occurring substance within the skin and a precursor in the production of collagen. The current list of available HA fillers is constantly growing. It includes Juvederm, Restylane, Prevelle, Perlane, Puragen and Elevess.
Radiesse has semi-permanent particles which gives it extended longevity. This is both an advantage and disadvantage. See more.
